Somebody had a bright idea...Just say NO

Ponte Vista -The Debate Begins again
People still question project's size and impact

Little League Inks Field Deal - Comments
Local residents and beyond are skeptical of the latest Eastview Little League offer

Growth Inevitable?
Who says we have to make room for people who want to move to San Pedro?

OUR Community, Coming Together and Creating Positive Results
The results are in and OUR community has come together to demonstrate that folks in neighborhoods can work together and bring real results to OUR community.

Northwest San Pedro Neighborhood Council comments on the Draft EIR for Ponte Vista
Passed by NWSPNC, these comments are a tour de force by Pat Nave on why the entire EIR process needs to be done again.

Bisno turns to unethical, racist consultant for help
I guess it doesn't really matter to Bisno Development whether the people working for it are racist.

Planning Issues Debate #55
Development issues from the Valley and citywide. Check out the cartoon!

10,000 Signatures meant everything
Cathy Beauregard thinks that gathering 10,000 signatures to support R-1 zoning means nothing.

Smart Growth is not so Smart
"SMART GROWTH" IS PART OF THE SOLUTION FOR CALIFORNIA. BUT "SMART GROWTH" (as L.A. city planners define it, which is mega-density nearly everywhere) IS NOT.

Glenn Cornell - A View From The Front Line
Elitists. You're elitists. I'm one, too. Although none of us thinks of ourselves that way, we
are. Everyone who favors single family housing is an elitist -- at least according to Robert
Bisno.

Keep your eyes on the ball
These are comments John Stinson made to the Ponte Vista Community Advisory Committee on April 12, 2007. While the entire text was not presented due to the speaker being summarily cut off (we're down to two minutes now), it appears here in its unexpurgated version.

Sven Ludquist O'Brien said...
It now seems to appear that the opposition group Tom Field doesn't think really exists, in fact does exist?

M. Richards on the the April 26th CAC Meeting
What seems to have more power, a recommendation or a demand? It depends on who is demanding and what are they demanding. If enough people let Janice Hahn know they demand that the current zoning be kept, and votes are riding on her decisions, then R Neighborhoods Are 1, and the growing number of OUR community members who support them, will have the power to have their demands met.

Neal Kleiner stood with R Neighborhoods Are 1 at protest
Every vote for Neal Kleiner to fill the school board seat currently held by Mike Lansing is also a vote for R1, in my opinion.

Group Thanks You For Your Signatures
R Neighborhoods Are 1 wants to thank the approximately 10,000+ folks who have joined the call for R1, NO COMPROMISE, to keep the current zoning at Ponte Vista at San Pedro.

Odds and Ends
First, I want to commend the Web master at www.rneighborhoodsare1.org. The site is
continuously being updated and there is much more information in the "news" icon of the site.

R-1:The Only Real Choice
R-1 (single family residence) is the only practical zoning choice when it comes to dealing with the proposed Ponte Vista size of 2300 housing units. The reason is simple. Density. The project size creates too much density.

R-1 is the Way to Stay!
If your goal is to cram as many people into one area...

If San Pedro ever got organized it would be dangerous
Frank Canetti Jr.'s view of a brighter future for San Pedro.

The sound of Bisno blinking?
Bisno's apparently offering a "project revision" next month

Hey Bisno- You Blew It Pal!
You could have made a killing without stirring up the locals -- but it's far too late for that now

That's It?
It appears that Bob Bisno is not willing to compromise at all.

My family does NOT support Ponte Vista
We have been following the politics of this mess from the beginning.

I think what they are doing to San Pedro is horrid.
Can't anyone think about anything but stuffing their pockets with dollars
to the detriment of others?

When it was navy housing, there were no baseball fields, parks, or anything else available to the public.
It was fine with me then and it's fine with me now.

Well, we have known all along that Bob Bisno was not going to listen to any counsel, but his own.
His actions, his proposals and his June 28th letter only go to prove that point over and over.
